Thank you for stopping by to check us out. We are extremely grateful that you chose to shop with us! Now let me take you into how Seven 31 came to be.
THE BEGINNING.
As a little girl, I always had a passion for using my creativity and it showed. For as long as I can remember, I was drawing on any paper I could get my hands on. Naturally, I started on corners of my school papers, books, and even napkins, to having binders full of sketches. As I got a little bit older, it started turning into sketches of clothes too. Of course, growing up in a family full of girls that loved to shop and play dress-up had a big influence on me!
FAST FORWARD TO NOW.
I had the idea that I could create someplace where I could showcase my passion for creating and fashion. So I thought what better way than to bring both of these concepts together in one place and share it with you all. Within Seven 31 Boutique, you will find various articles of clothing, accessory pieces, and even handmade items crafted by me personally!
THE REASON.
In 2015, my incredible hero I call Dad gained his angel wings during his line of duty with KCFD. In an instant, so many lives were tragically changed and devastated. The impact this tragedy had on us five of his girls was indescribable. Our lives suffered an immense loss. At the time our Dad was only 39, Mom was 38, I was 17, Alyssa 16, Alexandria 13, and Alicia 10. All of us having so much more life to live through together, milestones to celebrate, and so many plans and adventures to go on as a family.
We lost such a big piece of our hearts and life hasn't been the same without him, but we take comfort in knowing that he will remain in our hearts forever.
Although he hasn't been able to physically move through life with us since, he has been and will always be a big part of everything I do. Alongside the rest of my family, he always believed in me and continues to be my biggest motivator and inspiration.
He dedicated his life to what he loved and to the things he was passionate about the most; family, friends, his future, and his firefighting career. The impact and footprint he left on the world, his community, was nothing short of amazing.
THE SIGNIFICANCE BEHIND THE BRAND.
Seven 31 Boutique is built on the foundation of love and family. I created my brand name and logo with the idea that it should be unique but also hold sentimental value forever. Inspired by my parents' unconditional love which molded me into who I am today, I wanted to honor them the best way I could. So as a special dedication to them, my brand is named Seven 31 derived from their anniversary date. 7-31-1999 ❤︎
The angel wing design is a symbolization for my hero, my Dad. His legacy continues to have a strong influence on many, but especially to his wife and four daughters. Not only did I want my parents to be a significant piece of this brand, but I wanted my sisters too as well. Therefore, they became my models! You know... it's kind of like still playing dress-up! Jokes aside, getting to center my family around this whole idea has been the best part of it all.
